'Blues Riff''s distant guitar, airy synth pads, and consistent tick of a drumbeat add up to a disaffected vaudeville-esque dance track that conjures up Tom Waits, Jim Jarmusch and yes, Lynch's Lost Highway.

Lyrically, Yeager is conveying coming to understand how we can experience things together but internally feel things differently, like two radically different siblings raised in the same household. Drawing from personal experience she says "Being around someone all the time, friend, roommate, lover but you’re both going through different things...one person can be in the same room but feeling depressed."
